John Girvin

I’m John Girvin, computer geek from Northern Ireland.

I’ve been fiddling with computers since discovering them in the 1980’s.

From many years experience of a wide variety of real world projects, technologies, clients and working environments I have developed skills in Java, C#, SQL, C/C++, Python, devops, cloud and related technologies.

I’ve built assembly language games on 8-bit micros and Java e-commerce systems that handle thousands of customers and millions of pounds, as well as technology startups. I pursue elegance, simplicity and efficiency, seasoned with pragmatism and an eye on meeting business needs.
